Nilamber Chhetri is an Associate Professor at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh, India. His main areas of interest are the politics of social and cultural identities in South Asia, scheduling of tribes and practices of state classification in India, ethnic groups and demands for recognition, and borderland politics and infrastructural issues in the Himalayan highlands. He is the author of the book- ‘The Politics of Ethnic Renewal in Darjeeling: Gorkhas and the struggle for Tribal Recognition’ (Routledge, 2023). He is a recipient of the M.N. Srinivas Award from the Indian Sociological Society in 2024. 

Archana Pathak is a Doctoral Candidate in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Mandi. Her research interests lie at the intersection of the Anthropology of Infrastructure, Borderlands Studies, and Mobility Studies. For her doctoral work, she is working on the infrastructure development in the Sikkim-Darjeeling Hills, exploring themes of construction, land acquisition, resource extraction, materiality and state effects, migrant labours, environment and gender. She has already published a portion of her work as a journal paper and a book chapter, and has presented it at various national and international conferences. Additionally, she holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Delhi. Before her PhD, she had worked at various research organisations and also taught at colleges, including Delhi University and Indraprastha University.

Simashree Bora is an Assistant Professor, Department of Sociology, Cotton University, Guwahati, Assam. Her research involves gender studies, sociology of religion, and environmental and ecological studies, and she is keenly interested in gender discourse and Neo-Vaishnavism in the state of Assam. Her ongoing research examines the Highway Infrastructure Development and the Transformation of Roadside Settlements in Assam.

Akshima is a PhD Scholar at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, IIT Mandi. Her ongoing research examines the socio-economic dynamics of horticulture markets in Himachal Pradesh, with a focus on migrant labour, and explores the impacts of climate-induced disasters and inclusive disaster management.

Sripana Chhetri is a graphic designer and visual thinker with over nine years of professional experience in art and design. Her work focuses on socially driven communication, spatial narratives, and design systems that connect communities with opportunities. She is passionate about building visual identities that support education, local livelihoods, and meaningful public engagement across South Asia.
